After the opening ceremony of ECDA Early Childhood Conference 2014, Minister for Social and Family Development Mr. Chan Chun Sing told Chairman of ASSETS Dr T Chandroo that he was amazed by the progress made by ASSETS since they last spoke at the same event in 2013. The Minister had just given out the ASSETS Best Employer Award 2014 during the opening ceremony.

ASSETS has indeed grown by leaps and bounds and has organized many key events since 2013. Some of its more recent projects have been the creation of the ASSETS Best Employer Award 2014, participation in an educational study trip to Norway and the U.K., Dialogue with ECDA, the launch of ASSETS Official Brochure 2014, and participation in public workshops and information sessions. ASSETS has also forged strategic partnerships with key agencies such as ECDA, SPRING Singapore, Education Service Union (ESU), IE Singapore and the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) etc.

The Minister has just announced new initiatives to develop and recognize Early Childhood (EC) professionals during his address to the Conference participants. He wishes to see ASSETS extend its support to smaller operators to implement the new initiatives. Chairman Dr T Chandroo promised that ASSETS will do its part in support of these latest schemes.
