FAQ for ASSETS Best Employer Award 2015
1. What is the judging process?
The judging criteria are HR Policies and Practices (50%), Operational Excellence (30%) and Service Excellence (20%). You can find the detailed breakdown of the scoring system in the Award brochure.
Information will be collected via the following channels for assessment purpose
1. Document submission
2. Site Visit
3. Interview of key personnel
2. Who are the Panel of Judges?
The Panel of Judges consists of a representative from the Association of Early Childhood and Training Services (ASSETS), a representative from the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) and an independent individual.
The representative from ASSETS is Dr Lily Wong, a highly respected industry veteran.
3. What documents do I need to submit?
You should submit documents that support your system implementation, such as HR policies and procedures, survey, feedback, strategic meeting, KPIs, accreditations such as SPARK etc. You can also give evidence of policy implementation such as recreational activities for staff.
4. How do I know if the documents are kept in strict confidence?
For Award application, documents are to be submitted and stored at a neutral venue i.e. ANDA Insurance Agencies Pte Ltd, 190 Macpherson #03-01 Wisma Gulab (Royal Sporting House) Singapore 348548.
After submission, all documents will only be handled by the Panel of Judges. Documents will be destroyed/shredded upon completion of the Award ceremony.
5. What is minimum/maximum words allowed for my submission?
There is no word limit.
6. What is the reward for my participation?
There will be one winner and one runner-up for each category. The winner will receive a trophy and $500 voucher while the runner-up will receive a trophy and $250 voucher.
Award winners/runner-ups will receive the trophy from the Minister for Social and Family Development during ECDA’s Early Childhood Conference 2015.
Award winners/runner-ups are also entitled to use the Award logo in their company collaterals.
